ClipSyndicate, SpotXchange Announce Online Video
Advertising Deal
SpotXchange to
serve video ads for Next-Generation Premium Video Syndication Platform
SAN FRANCISCO, CA. April 25, 2007 – ClipSyndicate™,
a next-generation ad-supported premium video syndication network, and SpotXchange, the video ad serving division of Booyah
Networks, a digital marketing and technologies company, announced today an
advertising distribution partnership.
“The SpotXchange marketplace provides great flexibility and
extensibility to the ClipSyndicate video syndication network,” said Sean
Morgan, CEO of ClipSyndicate. “Advertisers
seeking to reach our audiences can target them through our key categories or
demographics using the SpotXchange marketplace. In minutes, advertisers can
load their video commercials and adjacent banners, and target ClipSyndicate’s
network of sites by categories, regions, time of day, and optimize campaigns in
real-time as they gather performance data.”
ClipSyndicate and SpotXchange will experiment with new video
ad formats, but initially the companies will sell and serve in-stream video
commercials and companion banners. ClipSyndicate’s participation will
enhance the SpotXchange marketplace by allowing advertisers to reach targeted
users in the ClipSyndicate network. ClipSyndicate’s syndication partners
include major news media (e.g., The Associated Press, Bloomberg, ClearChannel, Meredith
Corporation and more), which continues to be a major tool in capturing eyeballs
online. Late 2006 findings by Ipsos Insight from MOTION of digital video
behaviors found 75 percent of all online video streamed were news-related.
“ClipSyndicate puts our advertisers in front of engaged,
highly targeted online audiences. They are taking online video to the next
level by providing advertisers a unique opportunity to target their campaigns
in professionally produced, fully licensed content,” said Michael Shehan, CEO
of Booyah Networks. “Advertisers are assured that their messages will be
associated with premium content, which eliminates much of the risk associated
with the user-generated video sites, while reaching key audiences through targeted
verticals in ClipSyndicate’s network of sites. We are very excited about our
partnership with ClipSyndicate.”
With thousands of registered vertical Web publishers and
bloggers leveraging ClipSyndicate to video-enable their sites with
fully-licensed premium video clips from hundreds of content partners, the
ClipSyndicate network provides advertisers with one of the most attractive
opportunities available to reach engaged, targeted audiences on the Internet.
SpotXchange breaks advertising buying boundaries by setting
up the Internet’s first self-service, auction-based video ad serving platform
that allows sites that stream videos to sell their remaining video ad inventory
to an aggregated audience of advertisers and agencies. SpotXchange
takes the best practices in sponsored search—self-service tools, free market
bidding, precision targeting, transparent reporting, real-time tracking and
optimization—and applies those tools to an aggregated marketplace of in-stream
ad inventory.
